travel europe italy tuscany florence around the city

Although I was able to explore some of the city on my second visit in 1984, I didn't really get a feel for the city until my 2017 visit.
Of course, every evaluation of the city had to be done within the context of 100 degree temperatures and huge crowds.
Still, I found there was actually a real city behind all the big tourist attractions.
